Split an image into layers with AI
Layers turns a flat image into a set of layers, like in Photoshop: the background on its own, and every text, person and object as a separate transparent PNG. Background areas hidden behind objects are filled in, so every layer can be moved, changed and recomposed.
What you can do
- Pull the text off a cover or banner and replace it
- Cut a product or character from the background without masking
- Get a clean background without people or captions
- Prepare an image for animation: each layer moves on its own
- Rebuild a poster or post for another format
How it works
- Upload one image: a poster, cover, photo or illustration.
- Choose how many layers you need, or keep Auto.
- Optionally say what to separate: “the caption and the person”.
- Get a folder of layers: view them, download one by one or all as a ZIP.
FAQ
How many layers will I get?
Up to 16 layers plus the background. In Auto mode AI finds the main elements itself, or you set the number of layers upfront.
Why does Auto charge more at first?
We can’t know in advance how many layers AI will find, so we reserve the price of the maximum. Right after the split we refund the layers that didn’t appear.
What format are the layers?
Each layer is a PNG with a transparent background. The background comes as a full image with the hidden parts filled in.
Can I say what to separate?
Yes. List the elements in the hint field: “the logo, the headline and the girl”. Everything else stays in the background.
